Creating a Sunkissed Look With Mineral Makeup

No matter how many times we are told not to go in the sun many of us still crave that perfect summer accessory, warm skin tones with a glowing tan. If you’re the type of person that doesn’t want to spend a lot of time on their makeup and prefers a low maintenance makeup approach that gives the illusion of sun tanned skin, then the following makeup techniques you may find useful

Highlighters: These are a great technique to use if you want that minimalistic look, that will let your natural skin tone shine through, giving your skin a lit glow from within

Blusher: A reddish tan blush blended in small circles can help to mimic a sun kissed tan. Alternatively for that natural glow try using shimmer highlights on the top of the cheek bones, which will help give them definition and finish. By applying a small amount of rose colored cream blush on the apples of the cheeks to make your skin shine.

Eyeshadow: The best mineral makeup to wear on top of your tanned skin are shades that add light to your face and help prevent it from looking to flat. Try using a copper or peach color on the eyelid and an eyeliner that has some red or auburn in it to line the eyes. This creates the illusion of no eyeliner, whilst still working to enhance the eyes.

Lips: Keep lips looking completely natural by using a lip liner that is as close to your natural lip color as possible, then add a dash of sheer lip-gloss to complete the look

Powder:The bet mineral foundation to use is a cream to powder base which comes in a compact form. Remember when it comes to your foundation a tan is sheer not opaque, so by simply using a darker shade of foundation will not work. A better option is to us bronzing powder which can double up as your foundation or eye shadow and even as blusher.
